well, i can sort of see now what stuff will look like after i draw it. as drawn, i really need more practice. learning to cross hatch, and just draw what i see. still prefer drawing fic!

A fair bit to learn. I can sketch in a bit better. Will hopefully start seeing some artwork submitted soon! Have to try sketching some google pics for better realism. I don't want to fall into the trap of drawing the symbols rather than drawing then symbolizing it. Just has to look good, and consistently realistic. Filling sketchbook pages though.

Well, I did more sketching in my free minutes today. I'm thinking all anyone needs to draw well is to be able to think 3D, understand shadows, draw realistically and simplify into symbolic shapes the brain understands, and you can draw well. That's all, he says. Sounds so easy. I'm thinking a wolf manequin would be helpful to start with. And an anatomy book. Thank god for google images. The sketches are improving. I think. I can copy an image easily enough, but that's not the point of drawing. My issue is with getting detail into my original image. The balance... The RIGHT lines.
